We’ve been framed! Well, our favorite DIY wall art ideas have. From unique modern pieces to simple DIYs, these ideas are definitely eye-catching!
Hey friends! I hope all is well. Is it alright if I tell you a little about my
busy week adventures? Well, as I would tell the little kids I babysit from time to time, “Put your listening ears on!” For starters, my days have been early but also long. I’m really blessed to have some time to finally rest because I was beginning to feel like I was burning “the candle at both ends.” Not to worry, I’m catching up on sleep now!
Phew! Before I continue gabbing away about my “adventures,” let’s get to talking DIY wall art. It’s time to focus Alexa! Okay, let me tell you a little bit about how I got the idea to write this post. Lately, I’ve been thinking about a signs and decorations for my wedding and that got me thinking about different DIY wall decor options.
What I love about creative wall art is that it can entirely change up and refresh the look of just about any room, and DIY wall art is a super affordable option. Like the good ol’ saying goes, “You can do wonders with a little elbow grease.” (FYI: I may have just made up that saying, but hey, it’s a good slogan!)
First up to bat is this chic idea. For starters, the gold is gorgeous. I love how the colors of this unique art piece cohesively work with the chic whites and luxurious metallic tones in this stunning vanity area. I’d imagine that this DIY room decor wouldn’t be too difficult to make. With a little patience and dedication, you can copy this art for your own home decor. If you need a little extra guidance, simply check out the tutorial here.
That quote always makes me laugh so much. This fun little doozy of a project is actually from A Practical Wedding. You can thank my fiancé for proposing because otherwise I would have never stumbled on this fun idea and wouldn’t have been able to share it with you guys. What’s neat about this project is that you can keep it forever and it includes the use of resin, glitter, and just about everything that’ll make you smile. Take on this project with caution (especially those of you who love glitter and practically have it in your bloodstream) because if you get a little too crazy, your home will look like a glitter bomb exploded everywhere. To learn how to make this resin-ding (get it, resounding?) art piece, check out the tutorial here.

Do you have kids? This might be a fun simple project you can get them to do. Painting these color stripes is so simple and easy. What really makes these art pieces stand out is the gorgeous color combinations and the chic white frames. Framing artwork can really take your do it yourself wall art up a notch. I seriously love this bright DIY wall art lots. It’s simple, colorful, and adds a fun kick of color in this space.
If painted stripes really aren’t your cup of tea, what about this super cool and eccentric art piece here? This is totally something I’d imagine seeing in Urban Outfitters. Right? Not going to lie, friends, I’m definitely digging the vibe of this artwork. I could totally see myself making this DIY art for a friend or family member as a birthday present! Just to clarify, this DIY wall art is definitely not made for art novices unless you’re really patient. This piece may take a bit of time to make but if you’re interested in making these awesome headboard panels that double as ultra-cool art, then check out the instructions here.

I love this DIY artwork. I think that the main reason I like it so much is because of the asymmetry and pop of color in it. From an artist’s perspective, I just think that this piece is visually interesting, simple, but still very bold. Anyways, for you DIYers out there who love a fun, simple, but still stunning DIY, you should definitely try out this idea ASAP.
