For all you out there who adore Fixer Upper and home decor, do I have the post for you! Farmhouse style is the perfect mix of chic comfort.

Hello, friends! Alright, let me tell you a little about my week (cause y’all are my friends) and then we’ll dive into this week’s post. So I’ve been a little distracted lately with wedding planning because, well, that stuff is quite exciting! My fiancé and I view marriage as a celebration, not necessarily for us, but to honor and love those who have helped us become who we are today. So, yes, I’ve been distracted, but I’m definitely still on track and not falling behind.

So for the sake of not falling behind, let’s talk about the focus of this post: farmhouse decor. Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of Fixer Upper. Is anybody else obsessed with that show? I love Chip and Joanna Gaines. They warm my heart with their love and goofiness, while simultaneously inspiring me home decor wise. They’re a great couple with tremendous hearts.

If you have watched a few episodes of Fixer Upper or even visited Joanna’s store in Waco, Texas, you may have come to realize that her home decor style tends to veer into the farmhouse style lane. What I love about this style is that it’s family-friendly, ultra-comfortable, and welcoming.

This home decor style is rooted in, you guessed it, farmhouse living and farmhouse house plans. For that reason, you’ll see a lot of comfortable textiles and home accessories made with cotton, rustic woods, and lovely antiques. Ok, now that we know what farmhouse style is, let's look at some farmhouse design inspos. I certainly love them. I hope you do too!

Farmhouse Style Living Room Hardwood Floors Chandelier White Couch and Fireplace with Mirror on the Mantel

This living room is a nice starter for our adventure into farmhouse designs. In a lot of farmhouse interiors, I’ve noticed a nice balance between rustic and contemporary pieces that keep the style up-to-date and away from the cottage kind of feel. In the living room above, I love how the designer mixed comfortable textiles like the cotton couch cover with antique pieces. I adore the antique chandelier. It adds tons of character and style to this room. The contemporary lamps next to the comfy couch are absolutely stunning and add a fresh twist to this style of home decor.

We’re lovin’ farmhouse home decor w/ its rustic roots & downright comfy style!

Moving on to this entryway, I just have to say that the unique light fixtures make the entire design. Also, the accessories in these spaces definitely take this home to a whole new level style-wise. From the rustic metal fixtures to the cozy textiles, these rooms are extra lovely!

I’m a lover of good ol’ typographic signs! "Come Walk with Me” and “The Best is Yet to Be,” could anything be better than those signs? And that fireplace, I adore it! This country farmhouse living room is delightful, right?

I adore this dining room so so SO much. From the gray walls to the eclectic mix of table decor, this is what I dream my dining room will look like one day when I have my own home. I love the rustic feel of this room, but also how classy and up-to-date some of these decorative pieces are. Who wouldn’t enjoy eating here? Seriously!?

Last, but not least, (I saved the best for last) let’s just take a gander at this lovely vision. Come on, this upscale farmhouse decor duo is nothing short of “oh my goodness that’s stunning,” while still looking extraordinarily comfortable. I’m a big fan of neutrals and mix-and-match fun textiles. Lace, fur, cottons, and velvet are a few of my favorite textiles and adding them to a farmhouse home can add definite style points!

Well, friends that concludes this blog post for today. I could go on forever about this lovely style of home decor, but I think it’s best I stop now for the sake of time. I hope you enjoyed this post a bunch because I had bunches of fun writing it! Tell me your thoughts in the comments below and don’t hesitate to share this post with everyone you know! Thanks for reading. ‘Til next time, friends!
