As an enthusiast of all things mani, I think it’s safe to say that these holiday nails are something to take off of your wish list and make a reality! Treat yourself with a little pampering this season!
Hi, all! Can you believe the holiday season is here? For me, it’s full speed ahead and I’m starting to freak out a little! There’s so much planning to be done and shopping to be had—I’m feeling somewhat out of control. As I’ve told you before, I am a mani-maniac! I looooove to have my nails freshly painted and my cuticles cut to perfection. In fact, I went today! If I’m being honest, depending on who you ask, this constant need of mine to always have my nails done may classify me as crazy. But who isn’t? In my defense, I’ve been told I have man hands… so yeah, manicures are a must!
November and December are always extremely saturated with plans, plans, and more plans. It’s that time of the year where everyone’s social calendars are jam-packed full of fun festivities! Running around and doing the do is the norm and I wouldn’t want it any other way... But, that means that there’s less time for me to think about my hands and feet and even less time for me to feel inspired enough to paint them. You’re probably thinking, “what the heck was she rambling on about in that last paragraph if she doesn’t even do them during the most important time of the year?!” To that I say, there’s always time to take time to indulge in some pampering!

If you’re feeling bleh about prancing around to a bunch of different holiday gatherings and seeing people you rarely see, I can promise you’ll feel MUCH better if your nails are painted all pretty and stuff...that’s why I have compiled a few of my favorite finds for this season just so that you can have fantastic holiday nails! A bundle of inspiration, if you will!
To put a spin on a Christmas classic, this red is deeper, darker, and bolder. It’s also perfect for any and all skin tones and we should all have it on hand(s)! As you can see, it’s a color from OPI, one of my favorites, and not just because I love reading the names on the bottom of the bottles! They really last longer than your cheap-y $2 polish (which I still sometimes use—don’t judge). OPI Malaga Wine would look mighty fine if you’re looking for your nails to shine! We can’t be upset over easy Christmas nails either...
On to more holiday manicure ideas...We’re moving from one Christmastime color to the next. Emerald it is! I love this one because it’s not one of your typical holiday nail colors, but after seeing this I think it should be! Gold is another draw for me. I actually have a little bit of gold on each of my freshly shellac-ed nails right now! Besides, what time of the year would be better suited for some sparkle? Exactly!

Before we move on to lighter hues, I have one last dark color for ya! I have to preface this by saying, I’m not usually one for nail designs. I think the last time I got a flower toothpicked on my toe was about 12 years ago. With that knowledge, if I say I like this party nail meets snowflake number, then that’s saying a lot! Not that you have to take my word for it or anything...see for yourself! It looks purdy, huh?

On a lighter note, I’m serving you up a warm nude nail, complete with geometric lines on each finger. Festive nails like these put fun right on the tips of your fingers! To be honest, I usually lean toward an all off-white/cream nail, no matter the season. I know it might just be the candy cane staring at me, but these lines make the mani as whimsical and cheerful as the end of the year should be!

Last one! For those of us who are planning to err on our more feminine side this winter, I have selected a chic rose gold French manicure fit for a queen! What I like about this one is that it is delicate, but has a metallic glow to it. This is a look I would have to leave up to the professionals. The others I might be able to do, but I’m not feeling very confident about one straight line that has to be the same size on every nail.
The holidays may be a whirlwind, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t make time to primp and have great cuticles! You’ll feel better if you do and everyone will notice how pretty your hands are (even if you have “man hands” like me). What I love about these manis is the many different styles there are. You could have a bright red or a sparkly gold and it wouldn’t really matter because no matter what—it’s Christmastime and almost nothing is too festive!
What is your favorite holiday nail? Would you jingle-bell-rock any one of these? Tell me more in the comments!
