Move aside, shiny kitchen appliances! There’s a new decor style in town, and it’s sleek, gorgeous and matte! See how you can add matte kitchen appliances to your own kitchen.

Hello, again! While looking at some new trends in home decor, I came across matte kitchen appliances and let me tell you, I kind of love them. Maybe it’s because I never liked shiny appliances because of the ease in which you can smudge them and they’re no longer shiny. Maybe it’s because I don’t want to feel like I have to clean them all day every day to keep them shiny. Who knows? But I absolutely love matte appliances! If I had the ability, I would so get some of these to put into my home. But for now, let’s just look at the wonderful thing that is the matte appliance.

Matte Kitchen Appliances Sleek Black Matte Kitchen with Pops of Orange

For the purposes of this post, I’m not exactly focusing on one appliance, but the overall matte look of all the appliances together. Like in the image above. The fridge definitely has that matte look, as does the dishwasher. It’s the overall look of matte black appliances that I’m going for here. But, as you can see from this gorgeous kitchen, matte fridges are pretty fantastic. They blend well with the cabinets around them, and don’t stick out like shiny sore thumbs. I really love that aspect of this decor trend, especially when it comes to the matte dishwasher! I also love the light wood floor as a contrast to the dark matte finish appliances and cabinets. Genius idea there and I love how it turned out.

Matte Kitchen Appliances Black and White Kitchen with Plants and Mirrors

This one really caught my eye. Man, that fridge is dark! I love how it looks kind of like a black void. It would not be as striking if the rest of the kitchen wasn’t in white, though. The contrast between the stark white and the jet black is absolutely awesome. It sure does pop.

I also like that everything that is black is matte, from the black stainless refrigerator to the faucet. Hey, that would be a great way to add some matte black appliances to your home. Matte black faucets. That would be easy, and affordable!

Also, this kitchen is kind of a dream for me. I love the mirrors! I have never seen mirrors used as a backsplash before, but in this kitchen it gives the reflection that is missing due to the black stainless appliances. And, of course you all know I love the plant that’s just chilling there on the wall!

Matte Kitchen Appliances Silver Appliances in Brown Kitchen with Light Counters

I was never really fond of brown, but the brown cabinets really look nice with the matte silver appliances. Every large appliance is matte, from the fridge to the stove. If only they had been able to find a matte toaster to add to the space, that would have been even better! Though, that’s something else to think about if you want to go small while adding matte stainless appliances. Toasters, mixers, anything like that can bring the matte look into your home as well.

Matte Kitchen Appliances Silver Fridge with Brown Cabinets Dining Room Table and Chandelier

I do think my favorite matte appliance has to be the fridge. I never liked shiny fridges, especially silver ones. They easily get fingerprints on them, and it drives me crazy. However, these matte ones don’t do that. So awesome.

If I was to add matte appliances to my home, I would definitely look at getting a matte fridge in either silver or black. They both look so awesome! Unless they start coming out with colored matte refrigerators, in which case I will totally be buying one of those. Since that’s not an option at the moment, I’ll have to stick with what they have, which I also like a lot. Though, choosing which matte fridge I would get would be the issue. Would I go black or silver? Hmm. I guess it will depend on the rest of my home.

Matte Kitchen Appliances Brown and Tan Kitchen with Metal Island and Silver Appliances

I may have already mentioned this, but I really love the matte fridge, and this kitchen definitely shows off how awesome matte appliances can look. I love that there’s also an island in this one that is also metal. Genius. It looks fabulous right there. You can tell it has a bit of shine to it, but it doesn’t detract from the rest of the metal appliances.

And can we talk for a second about how spacious this kitchen is? So jealous. There is so much room to move around and gather all your ingredients. And the flooring! Totally perfect for the space. But back to the appliances. The matte stove is pretty great too, as is the matte dishwasher. They just look absolutely amazing in this kitchen!

Matte Kitchen Appliances Slate in Crisp White Kitchen Large Window Black Flooring

The newest color that I have seen that is gaining popularity is this deep slate gray. Hello, beautiful! I take back what I said earlier about deciding between a black or silver matte fridge. I would want these in my new home! They’re dark, but not too dark, and still have that gorgeous matte look that I absolutely love. Plus, man does it look sleek with the white cabinets. I’m totally digging this look. Like, it might be my new favorite thing. It’s sleek, clean, yet the appliances aren’t white! I love the slate refrigerator so much!

Going to look at doing this in my future home. I’m not normally a white cabinet person, but it looks so great I may consider it, especially if I have the ability to add a matte stove, dishwasher, and fridge! We’ll have to see where I am at when I get there. Hopefully I can add some of these gorgeous slate appliances.

There you have it, folks! The rundown on matte appliances, how awesome they look in homes, and how much I want them in my home STAT. Would you choose to have matte appliances or is it not really your thing? Let me know in the comments below, and don’t forget to share this post with your friends and family. And, as always, stay creative, my friends!
