The holiday season brings many photo-ops with friends and family. Make sure your look is on-point this year with these fab holiday makeup looks and ideas.
Hello there friends! It looks like our most favorite time of the year has come again! First stop Christmas and next up New Year’s. This is the time of year when family get-togethers, holiday-inspired hangouts with friends, and office holiday parties start to fill your social calendar. I’m sure many of us realize that with these events come many photo-ops! Coming from a family of all girls (my poor dad!), I’ve grown up seeing my mom and sisters getting dolled up to the nines for every holiday party or event. Now that I’m older, I’ve realized that I’ve started to do the same thing myself. So for that reason, I’ve been inspired to write a post on holiday makeup to inspire not just y’all but myself as well! So let’s get started. Shall we?
I personally love this look here! What’s not to adore about the 50s? This fun and fresh look is absolutely perfect for both Christmas and New Year’s! You can’t go wrong with a fun, bold cat eye and soft pink lips! This look is definitely an all-out classic look. If you’re interested in spicing up this look and want to add a festive red lip with your cat eye, feel free to do so! Just be careful to keep your eyes and lips balanced. You don’t want your eye makeup to be overly done with a dramatic lip or else your entire makeup look may become distracting. To get an idea of what a cat eye with a red lip will look like, check out the example below.

This look is a great evening makeup look, perfect for a dapper and festive Christmas party.

If you’re interested in doing a party eye makeup look for Christmas or even New Year's, check out this idea here! The pop of green on the lower lash line is a nice touch. It gives this classic smoky eye a unique touch that’s perfect for New Year’s Eve or Christmas! Fun fact: smoky eyes look good on most eye shapes. Also a word of advice, definitely don’t feel like you can’t attain this look. Smoky eyes are a lot easier to do than most expect. The secret to a great smoky eye? Blend blend blend! This look actually came straight from a YouTube video that you can check out here.
Last, but not least, check out this wonderful look done by one of my favorite YouTubers, Zoella! This look is wonderful for anytime during fall or winter. This gold holiday eye makeup with a berry lip will be a nice switch up from the traditional red holiday lip. Also, to all my blue eyed friends out there, definitely consider trying this look because the gold will make your eye color pop! If you’re interested in learning how to do this look, check out the tutorial here.
