All the shopaholics may be in shock at this revelation, but sometimes, less really is more. These minimalist closets are absolutely inspiring!
Hello, friends! I don’t know about you guys, but lately, every time I go on social media, I see a HUGE craze over minimalist closets. So long and farewell to mega-stuffed closets with all of the trendiest styles because it looks like society has embraced the less is more, minimalist attitude when it comes to clothing. How do I feel about this trend? I honestly think it’s refreshing. I’ve noticed that during my busier weeks, I tend to wear the same outfits. It just makes life easier. I still look good and I can change up my accessories, so why not just jump on the bandwagon and minimize my closet?!
I don’t know if you guys have seen minimalist closets before but they are lovely! Seriously, there’s just something so beautiful about simplicity. The whole “less is more” thing just makes me smile. Although, beautifully ornate and grand closets that are organized can be lovely too. I don’t know, maybe it’s just my personal taste, but I really like minimalist wardrobes!

Check out this photo for example. For starters, this shot was featured on Olivia Palermo’s website and she is pretty much my fashion icon. I love her taste and style in clothing. Does she have a minimalist closet herself? Probably not. However, this photo she posted is practically the heart and soul of what minimalist closet wardrobes tend to look like. When I see this, I think of photo shoot wardrobe rooms. Maybe that’s the appeal of minimalist clothing wardrobes? They make people feel like they’re on a photo shoot and they have a whole wardrobe that is personalized to their own taste!
Maybe it's the ease and simplicity of picking out outfits in a minimalist closet that makes them so appealing. Or the fact that they can be organized super easily! As someone who enjoys cleanliness and simplicity, I love the way minimalist closets look. Organized clean things are beautiful just like this organized, feminine, and absolutely lovely closet. Seriously though, I would love to have this closet. Maybe wearing heels every day to my classes wouldn’t be practical, but man would I look good!
If you’re struggling with the idea of creating a minimalist closet or would love to have a minimalist closet of your own but don’t even know where to begin with downsizing your current closet, don’t fret! Simply take baby steps towards minimalist closet decor. Start by looking at what you wear on a daily basis. You don’t have to get rid of the clothes you don’t wear. Just pack them up momentarily while you “reset” your wardrobe. By slowly packing away (NOT giving away or getting rid of) clothes you don’t normally wear, you may get a new sense of organization and cleanliness in your closet! If you need help downsizing your closet, Real Simple is a great resource with plenty of tips.
Minimalist fashion closets should really be narrowed down to your essentials or wardrobe pieces that are versatile; pieces that you can easily dress up or down depending on your hair, makeup, and accessories. What I love about this particular minimalist closet is the modernity in the wardrobe. Just take a look at that all black and white closet. Minimalist closets are definitely not for everyone but if you’re the kind of person who has a preference for simplicity and functional design, then having a minimalist closet might be something worth trying!
Before I bid you all adieu, I would just like to reiterate that a minimal closet is definitely not for everyone. I don’t think I could have a minimalist closet of my own right away. In all honesty, if I were to have a minimalist closet myself, it would take gradual change in that direction. I’m not quite ready to part with any of the clothes in my closet, even though I only wear half of them!
Minimalist closets definitely have their perks though. I mean, who doesn’t love maximizing their time in the morning by already having a couple of stunning pre-set outfits ready to go. Also, less laundry! I mean who wouldn’t love that!?
Alright, friends! That’s all I have to say for now. I know minimalist closets are kind of different but let me know what you think of them in the comments below. Thanks for reading! I can’t wait to read all of your comments! Also, make sure to share this post with all your loved ones.
