Sometimes trends can be a little wishy-washy, but not this one. Watercolor decor has made a big splash in the world of interior design and we’re lovin’ it!
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m totally digging the whole watercolor decor trend. I’m not entirely sure why, but I think it may have to do with the fact that I love to draw and paint. I have a deep appreciation for all kinds of artists out there and I think the lovely mix of colors in watercolor paintings is absolutely gorgeous! I could talk endlessly about my love for art and why I think watercolors are so stunning, but rather than going on an art tangent, why don’t I talk about home decor and the watercolor trend together? Because, art mixed with home decor is one of my favorite things!
Let’s all take a moment to appreciate this fantastic watercolor bedding. I like how it adds a big splash of color into this all white bedroom. The mix of pink, orange, yellow, and blue adds tons of vibrancy and visual interest. I could definitely see this bedding in the home of an art student or the loft of an eclectic art gallery owner.

Speaking of a splash of color, check out this gorgeous watercolor fabric shower curtain. It’s absolutely stunning and definitely a wow home decor piece, if you know what I mean. I could picture this shower curtain being in my own home or guest bathroom. I’d have agate accessories and gold fixtures throughout my bathroom. If you’re thinking of creating a colorfully eclectic yet luxurious bathroom, consider a watercolor shower curtain like this one!

I adore this colorful watercolor world map. The moment I laid eyes on it, I wanted to either DIY it for my own home or find one exactly like it and buy it. Friends, I’ll admit, this artwork totally speaks to my heart. As a lover of culture, traveling, and languages, seeing this stunning but simple piece of artwork totally inspires me. I want one! This is definitely a fun DIY watercolor idea.

If you’re not the kind of person who enjoys small-scale art pieces, but instead prefer larger, mural-sized artwork, I’d definitely suggest checking out the dining area above. You can’t really assess the overall size of the painting, but you do get the impression that it’s large. The watercolor in the background sets the foundation for the table setting. I love the mix of beachy blues, ocean glass, and antiqued golds across the table. The colors used in this dining room are perfection!
