Some dogs like baths and some really don’t. Photographer Sophie Gamand presents an array of dog portraits snapped after a bath! The outcome? Adorableness!

Friends, have I got a treat for you! In today’s blog post (or should I say DOG post), we’re going to be checking out Sophie Gamand’s wet dog portraits! Sophie Gamand is an award-winning photographer and animal activist. If you couldn’t tell from the photo above, this warmhearted lady has a special place in her heart for dogs. Sophie has been photographing dogs as a way to better understand humans since 2010. She recently published her book, Wet Dog (available here if you’re interested), which has tons of photographs of freshly bathed pooches. The purpose of the book is to show the emotions dogs can display in one of their most vulnerable moments AKA after bath time! So for today, we’re going to check out some of the dog portraits that grace the pages of Sophie’s adorable book!

Dog Portraits by Sophie Gamand Wet Dog Animal Photography Britney Mans Best Friend

So first runner up is this happy pup, Britney, and with one look at her sweet, gentle face, you know for a fact that this doggy loves baths. Britney’s owner probably enjoys the whole bath time experience just as much as she does! Seriously, just look at that dog's face. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a happier dog. Bath time for this pooch is happy time!

Dog Portraits by Sophie Gamand Wet Dog Animal Photography Marnie Mans Best Friend

The next pooch up is this goofy gal! I mean, come on friends… if this photo isn’t making you smile, then I don’t know what will! From that slight head cock to that adorable tongue sticking out, you can tell that bath time for Marnie means lots of suds, bubbles, and happy barks! Last chance to get a giggle from this adorable pup before we move onto the next! Honestly, if I had a dog with this much personality, I’d be one lucky dog… I mean dog owner!!

Dog Portraits by Sophie Gamand Wet Dog Animal Photography Commando Mans Best Friend

Not everyone’s happy when taking a bath! This miserable pup named Commando is definitely not a happy camper when it comes to bath time. Growing up, my childhood dog, Jack, was the exact same way. All whimpers and sad puppy eyes when bath time came!

Dog Portraits by Sophie Gamand Wet Dog Animal Photography Chuchi Mans Best Friend

This doggy portrait makes me laugh so much! Just look at that expression! It’s like, “Who do you think you are? Why did you give me a bath?” Dogs have such rich personalities. So far, we’ve seen everything from happy to sad… to inquisitive. What more is there!?

Dog Portraits by Sophie Gamand Wet Dog Animal Photography Benji Mans Best Friend

Benji’s disposition isn’t technically a mood, but I couldn’t stop myself from including this picture. It’s a wet dog in a shower cap… Let me repeat that. A wet dog in a PINK shower cap with a bow!! How cute! If this doggy was an actual human, I bet Benji would be the sweet old neighbor next door! Can you see it?

That’s all for today, folks! I hope you enjoyed this post and Sophie Gamand’s wonderful dog photography. Those pups are adorable, aren’t they? Please let me know in the comments below which one was your favorite. Also, make sure to share this post with anyone who might need a pick-me-up. These photos seriously are so cute. Thanks for reading! ‘Til next time, friends!
